A $5,000 donation was made in the name of our Clients & Friends to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in lieu of holiday cards and gifts
SunStone Consultant, Tony Berkebile, recommended we donate to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Here is what Tony had to say:
JDRF's stated goal is to “progressively remove the impact of Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) from people's lives until we achieve a world without it.” With so many people becoming diagnosed with T1D every day, and the challenges they face, I think this would be a great foundation for SunStone and our clients to support and donate to. Additionally, we have several colleagues, clients, family members and friends of SunStone who struggle with this disease. We lost Jake St.Clair a few years ago as a result of this terrible disease. Jake was a former colleague, partner, brother and friend from SunStone and fought T1D for most of his life. For SunStone to donate to a foundation that works directly with kids to help fight this disease, and to honor Jake and everyone else in our lives who have T1D, I think it would be an awesome way for SunStone and our clients to help support this cause.
